John
Art and Project Advisor
John graduated from A.S.U. with a B.F.A. and then went to the Art Institute of Phoenix and studied computer animation. He began interning at Rainbow Studios (now THQ) on the ill-fated Centipede 3d TV show (cancelled!). Someone at Acclaim liked his drawings and he was hired to do character textures for Legends of Wrestling where he branched into modeling and animation and began to edit motion-capture for the sequel (Legends of Wrestling2). His next gig was at THQ, where he helped finish up MX Superfly and then worked on the ill-conceived console game WWE CrushHour. After THQ closed the studio, he and his fellow co-workers started Mineshaft Entertainment (now a games developer for Nokia), but after struggling with the start-up for many months he returned to Phoenix to freelance and work on his master's degree. He now sits at home pretending to work hard, goes to the gym and pretends to work out hard, and teaches Maya classes at the Art Institute of Phoenix where he doesn't bother pretending to work hard at all. The New York Times once called John, "A guy we never heard of". He casually quips that, like most demons, he just guards his true name.
