Once upon a time, I visited a little message board on the 'net and voiced my dissapointment with all of the so-called next generation wrestling games. Some wise guy replied, "If you think you can do it any better why don't you just do it yourself?"

Fine, I will.

And as simple as that, Wrestling Gamers United was born.

I have two main goals that I'm committed to achieving with the WGU. First, is the creation of Pro Wrestling X, which seeks to be the most customizable and fun to play wrestling game we can produce. Thousands of fans have flooded the WGU with ideas and requests for this game and we intend to listen, respond, and act on what the fans want. You're our boss, we're working for you.

But I can't do this alone and that brings me to my second goal which is fame, fortune, and respect for all of the programmers, artists, animators, and modelers on the WGU team. I will never stop promoting the talented individuals that are responsible for bringing you this game because truthfully they are the heart and soul of Pro- Wrestling X. I can take credit for getting the ball rolling but I can't take credit for the beautiful animations and solid game engine that we will all soon enjoy.

So please, help give these talented people the exposure and credit they deserve and when you see something you like e-mail them directly and share your enthusiam with them. We are giving fans unprecidented access to the design team during the game's production because we want your voices to be heard and the team members want to be held accountable for their contributions. They're proud of what they can do and they should be.

But that's not all we'll being doing differently. During production we'll be sharing with fans all of the nitty gritty behind the scenes work that goes into making a great wrestling game. You'll be seeing rough pencil sketches of character designs, move animations in progress, and even candid home video of WGU crew members as they slave away during development.

It's all a part of keeping the fans involved and giving you a reason to want the game that's based on fact, not speculation. You'll know what you're getting long before the game hits the shelves and the only suprises will be good ones. We will not lie to you and we will not betray your trust in us.

Finally, from the entire crew and myself, thank you for giving us this opportunity and the chance to really make a difference. We're living every wrestling gamer's dream and we owe it all to you for believing in us.
